Yaz lent her bohemian energy to the opening number of RENT, the movie (see photos from the movie set in the gallery).Yassmin performed with the band The Superstar at Pride Weekend in Los Angeles, CA, following Deborah Harry.

Yassmin co-produced and performed in a fundraiser event entitled "AN EVENING WITH THE LADIES." 15 actresses from multiple ethnicities and backgrounds came together for an evening of scenes honoring victims of domestic violence by demonstrating women in all their power and glory. The showcase, which took place in Hollywood, was such a success that a repeat performance will be remounted at a later date.April 2005
